When it rains, do you hide? When it storms, do you fear? Does it hurt to run to sunlight? So cry…
Cry my flower. Rage my flower. Shine in the sunlight. Stand to the storms!
When it rains, do not hide. When it storms, do not fear. Does it hurt to run to sunlight? So cry…
Shine my flower. Shine my flower. Cry in the sunlight. Stand to the storms!
A code in life that I live by and that I apply to myself and my relationships with others is that all emotions are valid. I believe when you resist (invalidate) your emotions, you will only cause yourself more pain. If you invalidate the emotions of others, you are asking for relationships to become damaged. We are most resistant to our “negative emotions.” Most may say it does not feel good to feel sad or angry. Some may be told that they “should not feel that way.” I deny. Feelings all happen for a reason and it is wrong to run away from them. So I ask, when it rains, do you hide? Ask yourself, do you try to run to sunlight and it ends up hurting to do so? It is ok to cry. We are all flowers that need rain and may have to weather the storms.
